Special Education Advocate of Del Mar and San Diego

Why Advocacy is Necessary:

Advocate of Del Mar and San Diego provides special education advocacy services to parents of children with special needs throughout all of San Diego, California. Parents often benefit from specialized assistance when attempting to navigate the complex public education system today. Even though it is an overwhelming process for most parents, it becomes even more difficult for parents when they suspect that their child demonstrates a school or learning problem. Advocate Educational Consultant of Del Mar and San Diego offers specialized educational assistance. As a State of California Department of Education Credentialed School Psychologist, Monica Rodriguez, M.A. has a 15 year background in special education assessment and evaluation of student individual needs, plans, programs, services, and intervention.

Monica has worked since 2009 as a private Advocate and Educational Consultant specializing in assisting families with children with special needs and specific school difficulties. While continuing to use her education, experience and passion for remediating the challenges of our most fragile population of children, Monica has been able to give back to our San Diego County community by helping families.

With passion and commitment to helping struggling children and their families, Monica offers assistance to parents that are having difficulty obtaining a free appropriate education for their child.

Do you need an Advocate?

You don't have to struggle to communicate with school staff members or go to meetings alone. It is stressful, intimidating and frustrating. School personnel use educational jargon authoritatively, but they may interpret Special Education Law incorrectly or communicate misinformation unintentionally. Unfortunately, your child may pay the price when school districts enforce policies that are in conflict with requirements of California & Federal Special Education Law, or neglect to practice appropriately for your child. While I am committed to maintaining a positive working relationship with your child's school district, your child's special needs are my primary concern.
